Driver Agreement
Version 2026-07-16
This is the agreement you accept when you create a Grands’ Errands driver account. It stays available inside the app under Legal.
Independent contractor
You drive with Grands’ Errands as an independent contractor, not an employee. You choose which errands to accept, you supply your own car and insurance, and you’re responsible for your own taxes. A 1099-NEC is issued at year end when your payouts cross the IRS threshold. Grands’ Errands is operated by Ark Logistics LLC.
Errands, not caregiving
Grands’ Errands is a courier service. You pick things up, shop for and drop off items, and run simple errands. You are not providing personal care, medical care, or home care, and you do not transport people. If a customer asks for help beyond running an errand, kindly decline and let us know.
How you're paid
Every errand shows your pay before you accept it. That amount is what you earn for completing it, and it’s yours in full. Earnings appear on your Earnings screen as soon as an errand is finished, and payouts go to your connected bank account. You have to finish payout setup before any money can move.
Prescriptions & sensitive items
Some errands involve picking up prescriptions. Only accept a prescription pickup when the pharmacy has authorization on file for it, hand it to the right person, and never open, alter, or discuss someone’s items. Treat every customer’s information and belongings as private.
Proof of delivery photos
We ask for a photo as proof an errand was completed. Photograph the sealed package where you leave it or the hand-off only. Never photograph a prescription label, the contents of a bag, paperwork, or anyone’s personal or medical information. Grands’ Errands does not collect or keep medical records, and these photos exist only to confirm a delivery.
Errands that don't complete
If you arrive and the errand can’t be done through no fault of yours, you still get paid for your time and the trip. The amount is shown on the errand when dispatch approves it, whether the hold-up was the customer’s or ours. Report a problem from the errand screen rather than leaving, so dispatch can confirm what happened.
Insurance & your car
The car you run errands in must be covered by valid auto insurance, and keeping your license, insurance, and registration current is your responsibility. We may pause your account if any of them lapse. You also agree to a background check before you start, because you’re trusted in people’s homes and lives.
Kindness & trust
Our customers are seniors and the families who love them. Be patient, be kind, and be on time. Don’t solicit customers for outside work or share their information. The whole promise of Grands’ Errands is that we treat people like family, and you’re the face of that.
